Championship Rules & Regulations
- General Guidelines
- The championship is open exclusively to college students.
- Participation is individual only.
- All participants must carry a valid college ID at the time of registration.
- Safety instructions provided by race officials must be followed at all times.
- Race Formats
- Heats of 6 cars at a time.
- Each racer must complete 5 laps in the shortest time possible.
- Maximum allotted time: 5 minutes.
- Rankings will be determined by best 5-lap time.
- Top 3 participants from each college will be awarded prizes.
- The Rank 1 participant will qualify for the Inter-College Championship.
- Track & Equipment Rule
- Organizer will provide identical RC cars (same motor, battery, and controller).
- Cars may differ only in appearance/design for identification.
- Personal cars, controllers, or batteries are not allowed.
- Cars will be checked and maintained only by official race staff.
- Race Conduct
- False Starts → The race will be restarted. Repeated false starts may result in penalties at the discretion of officials.
- If a car flips or exits the track, a marshal will reset the car back onto the track
- Rough or intentional collisions will result in immediate disqualification.
- Drivers must maintain fair play and sportsmanlike behaviour.
- Scoring & Leaderboard
- In intra-college rounds, ranking is based on best 5-lap completion time.
- A live leaderboard will update continuously after each heat.
- In inter-college rounds, winners are determined by head-to-head race results.
- Tie-breakers will be decided based on fastest single lap time.
- Penalties
- False Start → Race Restart.
- Intentional Collision / Rough Driving → Immediate Disqualification.
- Tampering with cars or equipment → Disqualification.
- Unsportsmanlike conduct → Warning → Disqualification (if repeated).
- Safety & Fair Play
- Only race officials are allowed in the track area during competition.
- All controllers and frequencies will be managed by the organizers to prevent interference.
- All official decisions by referees, marshals, and race directors are final and binding.
